Hi all

I dont know what you do to manage your periods. I started using tampax compax when I was about 16 and didnt change until after I had Bernice and started to use always pads.

Dexterity being an issue, not being able to pull knickers up the most elegant way the blasted pad falls out etc.

Some one suggested trying these

http://www.mooncup.co.uk/

for a start they are eco friendly. but they look easier to handle than tampax.

what do you use?

I'm one of the lucky ones who don't have periods any more - thank goodness, but I can well understand your frustration.

ah i do use a mooncup, absolutely a million times better than tampons per se (cheaper, cleaner, more effective, comfortable, smell free, eco)
BUT
not easier in terms of dexterity - the movements are larger (no fiddly paper to peel for example) but need to be firmer i find (eg to twist as well as pull/push)
hence emergency visit to gp for extraction of one this year, during a flare. mind you, i'd really done a number on that one, dearly beloved couldn't rescue it for me either!

Blushing

that was a very bad/limited movement flare though. i'd say give it a go as it's a very specific set of movements, it may/not challenge the way your hads are!

I have a depo provera (don't know the proper spelling) injection every 3 months for contraception. A side effect is NO PERIODS! Been on it for years with no problems, except that I don't know if I am peri menopausal. Getting hot flushes, like many of us with RA, but no periods is a real boon.

My friend sells mooncup in her shop .I will ask if they sell well and if they are popala .
they are eco friendley .

On Odd times with the young ones when careing .When with bad hands had promlems with Tampax
( removing them ) And i have had too do it .
What about either useing pads with wings so they are stuck .Or i think Boots do knickers that hold a small
incontance pad might work .Or keep trying differant makes to see if you can find a pad with a good stickie bottom .Or a gripper some of my serive users managed with .( not sure how )
